Ενώ το Αεροδρόμιο Suvarnabhumi μπορεί να είναι απλώς ερημικό των επιβατών, η κατασκευή ενός νέου τερματικού σταθμού επιταχύνεται
Μια σειρά φωτογραφιών που κοινοποιήθηκαν στη σελίδα του AOT Facebook  δείχνουν τμήματα του νέου τερματικού σταθμού που δεν απέχουν πολύ από την ολοκλήρωση, μια περιοχή με χαλιά τοποθετημένα και μια κυλιόμενη σκάλα ήδη στη θέση τους, ενώ θαυμάσιες τουαλέτες και ένα καρουσέλ αποσκευών άλλες εικόνες.

Suvarnabhumi Airport ready for rising passenger traffic in festive season

 Suvarnabhumi Airport is all set to accommodate air travel demand during this festive season in compliance with the health and safety standards.
 The airport has ensured that every aspect of its operations, facilities, services and security measures are in place to cater to the increased traffic during 25 December and 5 January 2022, said Mr. Kittipong Kittikachorn, General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Over the 12-day period, passenger throughput at Thailand's air hub is expected to total 591,090, or 49,258 a day, representing an increase of 72.24% over the same period of the previous year.
The projected tally comprises 188,637 international passengers  and 402,453 domestic travellers.
Overall aircraft movements (take-off and landing) in this season are estimated at 5,961, or a daily average of 497, up by 11.82% from the previous period.
International aircraft movements in the period would be numbering 3,071 (up 92.18%) and 2,890 domestic (down 22.58%).
There are 12 regular and charter airlines requesting to add 282 extra flights, comprising 223 domestic services and 59 international flights.
The top three carriers asking the most special flights in the period are Bangkok Airways with 169, THAI Smile Airways (50) and T-Way Airlines (17).
 The airport has ensured that various facilities are ready to cater to the surging number of departure passengers, Mr. Kittipong noted.
For example, there will be sufficient trolleys to meet the needs; increasing frequency of cleaning of restrooms and common touch points; adding more officers on duty at the body and baggage checkpoints; putting more traffic officers in front of the 4th floor, Departure Hall; adding security guard and EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) staff to inspect the area and inspecting suspicious objects as well as monitoring with CCTV cameras 24 hours a day.
Furthermore, the airport continues to strictly enforce public health and safety precautions of D-M-H- 😭, the acronym for distancing, mask wearing, hand washing, testing and ThaiChana application.
The airport has also practised cleanliness in all areas and touch points within the airport around the clock.
Mr. Kittipong cautioned that Suvarnabhumi is following the Situation Administration's directive given on 21 December suspending entry registrations of international arrivals under the Test & Go and Sandbox programmes, except for Phuket, from 21 December to 4 January, 2022, to curb the spread of the new Covid strain, Omicron.
However, those already registered in the Thailand Pass system under test & Go conditions Go and Sandbox programme before the 21 December suspension are still allowed to travel to Thailand according to the original travel plans.
 In the event that hotels are unable to pick up their arrival guests to enter the Thailand Pass system, Suvarnabhumi has arranged for taxis that have passed the official Covid-19 hygiene and safety standards, known as SHA Plus, to transport international arrivals to their reserved hotels.
The SHA Plus transport desk is located on the second floor, Gate 10 of the airport's terminal.
 Mr. Kittipong said as a gift for the festive season, the airport has waived the parking fee at the long-term car park, Zone C, from 00.01 on 30 December to 24.00 on 4 January 2022.
The Zone C car park can accommodate 718 vehicles, with a shuttle bus, Line A, running between the car park to the terminal building every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.

To celebrate the festive season with passengers, a Christmas tree with beautiful decorations and lights has been erected in the departure hall, 4th floor, Gate 6, and there is a photo point at the domestic arrival hall, 2nd floor, Gate 1.
The Christmas decoration will continue until 5 January 2022.
 Mr. Kittipong advised passengers to be at the airport 2-3 hours before their flight departures.

Η διοίκηση του αεροδρομίου Suvarnabhumi της Μπανγκόκ ζήτησε συγγνώμη το Σάββατο για τη σύγχυση που προκάλεσε μια ανακοίνωση πριν τη διαγράψει.



Ένα infographic στη σελίδα του αεροδρομίου στο Facebook απαγόρευε στους ταξιδιώτες να πάρουν περισσότερες από 30 μάσκες προσώπου εκτός χώρας και όχι περισσότερες από 50 με ιατρικό πιστοποιητικό. Η ανακοίνωση ανέφερε ότι οι παραβάτες ενδέχεται να αντιμετωπίσουν έως και πέντε χρόνια φυλάκιση ή/και πρόστιμο 100.000 μπατ
Το infographic αργότερα διαγράφηκε και η διεύθυνση του αεροδρομίου εξέδωσε μια δήλωση ζητώντας συγγνώμη για την παρεξήγηση.

Ανέφερε ότι το γραφικό δημοσιεύτηκε σύμφωνα με μια ανακοίνωση του Υπουργείου Εσωτερικού Εμπορίου (DIT) σχετικά με τη διακίνηση ελεγχόμενων αγαθών.
Ωστόσο, αυτή η ανακοίνωση έγινε το 2020 λόγω έλλειψης μασκών προσώπου στη χώρα, αλλά στάλθηκε στο Suvarnabhumi μόλις τον περασμένο μήνα.

Η σελίδα λέει τώρα ότι το αεροδρόμιο θα ελέγχει μόνο για απαγορευμένα αντικείμενα βάσει των κανόνων του Οργανισμού Πολιτικής Αεροπορίας και δεδομένου ότι οι μάσκες προσώπου δεν απαγορεύονται πλέον, οι επιβάτες μπορούν να μεταφέρουν όσα χρειάζονται.
